OE Mercedes OM617 Turbo-Diesel 5-Cylinder 3.0L Engine.
This motor is rebuilt by our professional team at RTW.
Much of the internal components are returned to original manufacturing specs.
This is a CUSTOM ORDER item: please allow 8-12 weeks for us to build the motor and ship it to you.
There is an additional core charge of $1000 for your complete motor, which includes $700 for a core cylinder head.*
If your block is in good enough condition that it does not need re-sleeved, we can offer you a discount of $500 off your purchase.

Overall, the retail value for the new parts, machine work, and shop labor put into this motor is over $7000.

OE pistons for the OM617 Turbo-Diesel are no longer available from any manufacturer. Other rebuilders may use inferior aftermarket pistons. We have a lot of high-quality used OE pistons come through, and thus have the rare opportunity to stockpile only those in the best shape for use in our rebuilt motors.

This motor includes a One Year Warranty.
Warranty only applies if directions for driving and maintenance are upheld (supplied after purchase).

This is the standard OM617 motor made for coupes and sedans. It does not include the hydraulic suspension pump used the the wagon SLS system.

Purchase Price includes LONGBLOCK ONLY.
In order to to complete the rebuild process an injection pump must be supplied. You can supply a good used pump along with your core motor, or you can purchased a pump from us:
Used: $450
Rebuilt: $1800
If you do not have a core motor, then you will need manifolds and a turbocharger.
Manifold Set: $250 (used exhaust & intake manifolds, new gasket)
Used Turbo: $450 (when available)
We also offer performance parts, which include a 10% discount when purchased with a rebuilt motor.
New High-Performance Turbo: $1440
New Intercooler Kit: $1350
Rebuilt Modified Euro M-Pump: $1800

If you want to upgrade to a New Camshaft, you can do so for only $325.
